We decided to create Xiona tracker in 2014 - the decision was made as we observed a large increase in click fraud practices related to several Adwords Accounts.
Also, the fact that Google or other Advertising Systems do not treat the click fraud in a transparent manner, and due to the fact that the advertiser was not able to analyse the behavior of an IP address, we decided to start the development of Xiona Tracker (along with a handful of partner agencies).
First of all, Xiona Tracker is a natural step in the evolution of Web Analytics systems. Basically, our solution answers the need of tracking the click fraud and the non-converting clicks in an efficient way. It is important for as to see what happens with the money that an advertiser spends in his PPC campaigns(as: Google Adwords, Bing Ads, etc) by tracking and providing reports. At this moment our tracking script can track all of the major Google Adwords campaigns:
- Google Search
- Google Remarketing
- Google Display
- Google Video (clicks)
For being able to efficiently identify the click fraud the Auto Tagging function withing Google Adwords should be enabled.
ATTENTION! Be sure that your system is able to generate URL'swith Auto Tagging enabled.
Aditionaly, for the Google Remarketing, Display and Video campaigns some extra settings related to the URL's query strings (parameters) have to be implemented.
